Avatar coming to Disney Parks starting with Animal Kingdom at WDW. This morning during a press conference held at WDI, Tom Staggs and Bob Iger announced a long term partnership with James Cameron and his company, Lightstorm Entertainment, to bring the world of Avatar to life at Disney Parks. The first Avatar themed land is scheduled to open sometime in 2015 at WDW’s Animal Kingdom.
Disneyland is the star, everything else is in the supporting role.

The alternate entrance into DCA opened today as construction on Buena Vista Street begins. This new temporary entrance will guide guests into the park from behind the Soarin’ show building.

Opening Day Fact
Autopia is one of the opening day attractions that still exists today. However, back then there was no guide rail to keep the cars on the track. By the end of the first day, just about all the cars had crashed and become inoperable.
